Sorry I'm dis let sick...so obviously can't spell it but boy do I love words and truly I dream come true a place like this... I've written a few TV comedies which I would like to do.. thinking how main one could be play first... just don't want to work for BBC...as they are So openly racist towards the Irish...The saying 'the Island of Ireland' was first started by Alistair Stewart on BBC news, and he so openly was using it to take piss and the smile on his face when hearing it said back to him was nasty... and clearly done to make fun....and so the evidence is there for all to see....

I'm coming to Ireland for this place I'm only Londoner in Irish family and our story has never been heard....how we suffer abuse from both sides and have no family as don't want to know us...I grow up in West London. With slot of others with Irish folks. So got it for being Irish and then left out of family stuff in Ireland...

I looked up to see if I could find any press to explain why I am finding it so hard to make a living as a professional trained artist with disability living in Ireland. I found this amazing post that explains everything in words better then I could write to explain what I already know is unfortunately true from my own difficult experiences: An article posted on reddit, by an unknown Irish artist, July 2023. Unbeknownst to most of ye, Irelands art scene is massively corrupt and prone to all the sins we are used to with government corruption. Favouritism, cronyism, elitism and its all funded through the tax payer. Most of you don't know through lack of interest which is understandable, but most of Irelands art industry is supported through non profit organisations which are funded through the government. Most ordinary people would believe that our art industry is run through a prism of the most worthy, talented or hard working and done in favour of what is in demand for sale and profitable. It is not. Money is funnelled to people called curators, who run artists organisations and art spaces and they do not care about artists in their local communities or their survival. These curators are not being funded to create a for profit business. That is irrelevant to them and their funding. Its not a case of picking artists who will sell art. Its being funded to basically bolster the careers and self importance of these curators experiences and CV's. Its a Black hole of transparency and fairness of public funding for the whims of these middle men in pursuit of bigger and better reputations. Not to support them as art dealers selling art. Profit is not a goal. Especially when public funding is the income. Grants are the income. Not the sale of Art. Art sales are a happy bonus secondary to the grants. These people are being given free reign to live out their personal dreams that do not benefit the artists living in those communities. All this is fine as a private citizen except for the fact most of them are absolutely state funded. They use these funds to pick artists that promote their personal beliefs or political viewpoints that benefit their careers as curators and in most cases it absolutely ignores the artists in their vicinity. Art panels, who in some cases decide who gets opportunities that could benefit local artists, pick people who they have personal and professional relationships with to the detriment of hard working artists. There is absolutely no oversight or fairness. This begs the question of what is the point of working hard if you can just charm the right people to by-pass effort. Opportunities to artists are being given to those who have licked enough holes as opposed to those who are hard working and passionate. Its all government funded to strengthen the arts but it absolutely doesn't benefit most artists and their is no transparency in any decision making that involves the use of public funds. By the way, its so bad that no Irish artist would publicly give this type of criticism or be associated with it because we are terrified of the ramifications on our careers.

Brava áfach! Gaeilge Labhraíonn Ciara go maith í. Maith. Níor chuala mé é ag labhairt i gceart le blianta fada. Is as Carraig Airt, Dún na nGall mé, cé go bhfuil mé i bhFlórans anois. Tá mé suas an tseachtain seo chugainn. Ní hiondúil go labhraítear Gàidhlig go maith i mBaile Átha Cliath, mar a dhéanaim i gContae Dhún na nGall, a stór. Má thagann tú chuig an aerfort Dé Céadaoin seo chugainn, déanaimis labhairt beagán le chéile. Ach, cé go bhfuil mé i mo chónaí i gCarraig Airt, rugadh mé i gConamara, sa gClochán. Maith thú Ciara!
